A Day that Changed Everything
One ordinary day in the tomato garden, Lyla noticed something wasn't quite right. The tomatoes were still green, hard, and nowhere near ready to eat!
Determined to figure out what was wrong, Lyla tried everything she could think of to help. But when nothing seemed to work, she realized it might be time to try something very special—and give the Big-Hearted Tomato a little help of her own.
Who is Lyla?
Lyla feels most at home among the tomato plants, where she spends her days caring for the garden and making sure everything is growing just as it should. She’s patient, thoughtful, and determined to help when something goes wrong. Luckily for Harvest Grove, Lyla doesn’t give up easily—and she’s not afraid to try something new when her first idea doesn’t work.
Lyla's Remarkable Gift
Every resident of Harvest Grove has a remarkable gift to share, and Lyla’s transformed the tomato garden forever.
Long before the world understood what made ripe tomatoes their beautiful red color, Lyla discovered a way to pass her own special gift into every tomato plant. From that day forward, as tomatoes grew and ripened, they carried a little piece of Lyla’s magic.
Many years later, scientists would discover that remarkable gift and give it a name-lycopene. But in Harvest Grove, everyone knows where it truly began.

The Science Behind Lyla
Where Magic Meets Nature
Lyla’s remarkable gift became part of every tomato that grew in Harvest Grove. Today, scientists know that colorful plant compound as lycopene. Found in tomatoes and other red and pink fruits, lycopene helps support heart and cardiovascular health, making Lyla’s magical gift just as remarkable today as it was long ago.
